National Balloon Classic

This past weekend I headed down to Des Moines for the National Balloon Classic in Indianola. The grounds were extremely wet due to the recent rains, but we were still able to fly Friday night-Sunday morning. Sunday evening it rained another 3-6 inches in the Des Moines area, so all flights were postponed till Tuesday night.

Flight with Earth Child

Last night was a beautiful night to fly. Orv and I launched from Tuthill Park, and flew to a beautiful development just south of Arrowhead Park. It was really cool to fly next to Earth Child- a balloon that has fewer hours than mine.
